Build a model
Ask what the model explains, which assumptions it makes and where it may be incomplete.
Parent-managed family learning
Explore how models, observations, data, and evidence help explain the world. Grades 5–12 connect scientific ideas with engineering design and separately reviewed investigations and presentations.
Current family beta: free for up to three parent-managed learners. No payment method required.

Learning at home
Authored lessons and hints, checked practice, and parent-reviewed coursework play different roles. Review the work the learner actually completes.
Ask what the model explains, which assumptions it makes and where it may be incomplete.
Distinguish an investigation the learner performed from analysis of supplied data. Review records and connect the conclusion to evidence.
Review actual models, investigation records and explanations. A required observed performance or computer execution remains pending until it is performed.
Use a graph or data table from the learner’s current lesson. Ask what pattern is visible, what might explain it, and what additional observation could challenge that explanation. Discuss uncertainty before drawing a conclusion.
These courses use New Jersey standards as a reference. Where New Jersey defines expectations by grade band or high-school subject, YoUni chooses how to distribute them among its courses; the state does not prescribe that individual-grade sequence.
YoUni provides supplemental learning. It does not confer accredited school credit or degrees and does not guarantee academic or exam outcomes.
The current family beta is free for up to three parent-managed learners, with parent consent before learner creation and private progress for each learner. Family learning is separate from High School test-prep subscriptions.
